Adelsö Bowl, Handmade
This Viking Age bowl is based on a find in Adelsö, Uppland in Sweden. It is black-burned and decorated with four horizontal lines, just as the original find. The bowl is wholly handmade without a potter’s wheel, just as the original was made over 1000 years ago.
In order to make it more durable and easier to clean, it’s made with a with a matte glazing inside. This allows it to be washed in a dish washer and it can also withstand a microwave oven.
